After women, flowers are the most beautiful thing god has given to the world
-Christian Dior

Why do we buy flowers for the ones we love? Is it the divine beauty of every delicate petal, the sweet aroma that drenches our senses, or the knowing that every flower is the creator of new life and the continuum of the species? They can be sensual, colourful, elegant, happy or dramatic. Every bloom able to portray different emotions and an array of multiple scents. No two blooms are exactly the same however strikingly similar. Arguably the most beautiful of natures wondrous creations, flowers serve as a point of delight.

They are also the preserver of life and the guarantee that it will continue.

The woman shares many common elements of the flower and this exhibition is to honour the divine power of both. Each stage of a flowers existence is one to be marvelled upon. The fresh blossoming of youth, the full bloom of woman hood, followed by the browning of the petals and the eventual falling away only to start the process again.  In all their differences, flowers are even more amazing when grouped together in an arrangement, each branch supporting the others qualities to create something to behold.

Thank you to all the incredible women who have shaped and coloured my life. I look forward to all the women I have not yet met and the marvellous women who have yet to be born.

In particular I thank my mother and my daughter who have coloured my life with divine love. Both my reason for existence.

They are my Queens and rule my universe in this world and the next.

Give yourself and each other flowers, wear your crowns proud.

 Go forth and slay ladies.

You are beautiful.
